Fall 2017 Musical Announcement!
This year's Encore fall musical will be....Cinderella. This is not just your typically Cinderella story, it is the newly adapted Broadway script originally performed in 2013. It is full of witty humor and adds tons of new twists to the old fairy tale. To put our own flair on the classic, we will be putting our story in a modern-day time period and setting our story in the busy streets of New York City. Translating this story to today's world puts a new twist on Cinderella's line "because these daft and dewy-eyed dopes, keep building up impossible hopes, impossible things are happening every day."
This years musical will be open to all 7-12th graders. We will start rehearsals the week before school, August 28th-September 1st from 3:30-5:30. Auditions will be one the second day of rehearsals. If you want a leading role, you must be at these rehearsals. If you cannot make these rehearsals, but would still like to be in the show, you may audition for an ensemble/chorus/dance part the first week of school. See the links on the right side of this page and the folder below for more information. If you are interested in running lights, sound, being a stage crew member, a stage manager, etc, there will be a meeting during the first week of school.
We look forward to a great show!
~Ms. Roscoe & Mr. Raymer
